There are only a few places that do fall quite like upstate New York. In Bovina – about three hours north of Manhattan – we welcomed east coast friends and creatives to celebrate the season with us. The changing leaves served as the picture-perfect backdrop for an alfresco mean prepared Brushland Eating House and organized by And North, a regional guide. While this event took place back in 2017, it was too memorable to keep to ourselves. Join us as we take a look back at an unforgettable evening with friends...

Guests – and social media – were buzzing over the thoughtful touches throughout the day. Everyone received a Merino Travel Kit to stay cozy on the journey upstate. While Catskill Carraige provided a smooth ride to the country, Chill House offered guests shoulder massages and a tarot card reader made the rounds.

Upon arrival at the 100 acre estate, a single table for 40 was set with our brand new Contrast Edge Table Linens on full display. Fresh florals and autumn leaves by Miko Akasaka from Seasons Flowers were carefully designed to complement the linens’ holiday-inspired palette. Greentree Home Candles and place cards by Rae Child Calligraphy completed the spread. Ariel Kaye, our Founder and CEO, toasted the group before a fall feast of lamb, potato dumplings and roasted vegetables – all prepared on site. An assortment of white and red wines from Brunette Wine Bar were served.

Following dinner, guests moved inside to the main house for dessert and musical entertainment. Pillowsquilts and cashmere throws were laid out for maximum comfort while The Bones of J.R. Jones serenaded the crowd. Pro tip: A memorable way to wrap a holiday soireé is a talented acoustic musician and meringue!

“Every aspect of the event was authentic to the region – from locally sourced foods and dinner tables handmade by Bovina woodworkers to parting gifts courtesy of 2 Note Perfumery in Hudson,” shared Trelawny Davis, Parachute’s Brand Marketing Manager. “It was the perfect way to kick off fall and introduce our newest home essentials.”
