New York is always a good idea! We made our official arrival to the Big Apple last week and threw a massive housewarming to celebrate. Our brand new flagship store in SoHo was bursting at the seams with well wishers – and we’re still recovering!
Guests were treated to the killer musical stylings of DJ Smiles Davis as they explored the store for the first time. Light bites from Poppy’s and drinks from Sunday Beer, Dirty Lemon and Underwood kept the crowd going. (Full disclosure: We ordered two dozen late night pizzas because the crowd really kept going!)
Custom embroidery by Lot, Stock and Barrel was onsite (baby blankets and robes were a big hit), and when guests needed a break from shopping, a photobooth from Keshot captured the beautiful faces that helped us warm the new space.
The party was a true celebration of community, including many of our collaborators (hello Quiet Town) and local artisans whose work is featured in the store.
“New York is Parachute’s top market and we’re thrilled to deepen our connection with existing customers and build awareness among those new to the brand,” shared Ariel Kaye, Founder and CEO. “We’ll be hosting regular events and workshops and are really excited to make Parachute a special place for gathering community in the neighborhood.” If the housewarming party is any indication of what’s to come in New York, it’s going to be a good time here.
